FAQ
Is the yield gold interest?
XAUg's return is a staking yield, not gold interest: the gold lease rate is low and major gold tokens are zero-coupon; XAUg's yield comes from settling the mine's actual gold-equivalent output, source verifiable, and the yield can be withdrawn as tokens at any time.
Why must a full 1,000,000 USD be raised?
Equipment, installation and commissioning of one processing line cost 1,000,000 USD. This is the threshold for the line to exist: once filled, construction starts, and the line is accounted for separately and published monthly.
Any return during the build phase?
No. Build and commissioning take 5 months with no output and no payout accrual. Of the 24-month term, 19 months are actual production, and all projections use those 19 months.
Where do payouts and redemption money come from?
Entirely from settling the line's monthly gold-equivalent output — earmarked, published monthly, one certificate mapped to one line. Full accounts on the Cash Flow & Payout page.
Does each XAUg map to gold?
Proposed: each token is a delivery claim on 0.01g LBMA refined gold (≥99.99%); backed by a producing mine’s physical assets and monthly output, with coverage published monthly.
How do institutions and large individual investors engage?
Institutions and large individual investors are handled by a dedicated project team, with terms negotiated. Site visits to Colombia follow confirmation — see the Participation page for the contact address.
How long is the lock-up?
Proposed conversion/lock-up at maturity; payouts accrue during the term, and at maturity you may redeem, extend or transfer.
Does the team hold keys?
No. Tech team is outside the multisig; treasury needs 3-of-5 plus 48h timelock; team 5.5% milestone-unlocked with clawback.
What is the initial supply, and how is it backed?
Initial supply is 3,000,000 XAUg, issued once and not increased. Each unit represents a delivery claim on 0.01 g of LBMA-standard refined gold (≥99.99%), with a verifiable backing source. Specific issuance and subscription terms follow the executed agreement.
